Technology Education for Kids 兒童科技教育議題

人因互動與科技應用研究室以兒童科技教育(Technology Education for Kids)和特殊教育(Special Education)等相關研究領域作為研究主題。研究的範疇包括如何觀察和評估兒童使用的互動產品、系統、以及軟體介面的應用程序。這包括開發兒童玩具、遊具、教具、遊戲以及在互動設計上的專用設備的評估方法。在兒童科技教育領域,研究包括互動設計和可用性工程(UE)等更專業的知識領域。研究還涉及兒童發展和兒童心理學的基本背景,特別是與行為改變技術和實驗評估相關的理論基礎。這有助於研究者針對孩童進行互動設計研究和評估觀察。

The Ergonomic Design & Technology Lab focuses on research topics related to Technology Education for Kids and Special Education. The research covers aspects such as observing and evaluating interactive products, systems, and software interface applications used by children. This encompasses the development and assessment methods for interactive designs of children's toys, playground equipment, teaching aids, games, and specialized devices. In the field of Technology Education for Kids, the research involves a wealth of knowledge in more specialized areas, including interactive design and usability engineering (UE). The study also delves into the fundamental background of child development and child psychology, particularly the theoretical foundations related to behavior change techniques and experimental evaluation. This aids researchers in conducting interactive design studies and observational assessments specifically tailored for children.

​Medical Design 醫療設計議題

人因互動與科技應用研究室致力於醫療設計領域的跨領域研究項目和科技應用主題。研究項目包含遠端醫療、急診室檢傷分類、特殊教育、職能治療、高齡復健、減緩老化以及樂齡生活等方向。透過人因互動與科技應用的觀點,我們探討不同使用者行為和操作需求,並透過互動設計的手法實現各種創新研究議題。

The Ergonomic Design & Technology Lab is committed to interdisciplinary research projects and technology applications in the field of medical design. Research projects encompass various areas, including telemedicine, emergency room injury classification, special education, occupational therapy, elderly rehabilitation, aging mitigation, and senior living. Through the perspective of human interaction and technology applications, we explore different user behaviors and operational needs. We employ interactive design methodologies to realize various innovative research topics.

Vocational Training Technology 職業訓練科技

本研究室於研究執行上運用A/VR技術應用於科技教育與職業技術訓練等相關的創新教學與研究領域探索,透過人機互動與科技應用的觀點進行相關教學實踐與實務型研究。在過去相關的教學應用當中,AVR媒體的介入,往往能夠大幅提升學習者的學習興趣與動機,同時也能夠作為職業訓練與機台操作知識上的觀念輔助。在近期的教學環境當中,本研究室也嘗試運用A/VR技術於設計系學生對於「家具木工榫接結構上的教學應用」上的觀念建構,並在近期進行「擴增實境技術於家具試作打樣上」的嘗試,此外,並進一步發展「虛擬實境技術開發應用於家具生產線上的模擬體驗與操作」,本研究室朝向運用虛擬實境技術於職業教育訓練上的科技應用。因此本研究室藉著教學課程中實際的加工狀況與學生學習上的互動連結,去發展出可行且創新的教學內容。

​The research lab explores the application of A/VR technology in innovative teaching and research areas related to technology education and vocational technical training. Through the perspective of human-machine interaction and technology application, the lab conducts practical research and teaching practices. In past educational applications, the intervention of AVR media has often significantly enhanced learners' interest and motivation, serving as conceptual support for vocational training and machine operation knowledge.In the recent teaching environment, the research lab has also attempted to use A/VR technology in guiding design students in the conceptual construction of "joinery structures in furniture woodworking." Additionally, recent experiments have been conducted in "augmented reality technology applied to furniture prototyping." Furthermore, there is ongoing development in "virtual reality technology for simulation experiences and operations in furniture production lines." The lab is moving towards the application of virtual reality technology in vocational education and training. Therefore, the research lab, by linking actual processing conditions in teaching courses with student learning interactions, is dedicated to developing feasible and innovative teaching content.

Practical Research in Design Education 設計教育實踐研究

設計教育是一個充滿創意的研究領域,牽涉到設計思維和問題解決的方法,同時與教學策略和教具開發相關。在創意引導和檢核方面,它呈現出多樣的設計面向。研究中,我們著重於以人因特色為主,問題解決為輔的取向,以應對不同的問題。在這個領域裡,我們將探索多元的研究方向和策略,並將其實踐應用於教學和實際場域。

​Design education is a highly creative field of study that involves methods of design thinking and problem-solving. It is closely linked with the development of teaching strategies and educational tools. Moreover, in the realm of creative guidance and evaluation, it exhibits diverse facets of design. In our research, the emphasis is on human characteristics as the primary focus, with problem-solving playing a complementary role to address various issues. Within this field, we will explore different research directions and strategies, applying them in both teaching practices and practical interventions in specific settings.
